Having read 46,000 applications, an array has been seen by us of summer experiences that high school students have embarked on. Transfer Decisions

Professional Development
Things have began to calm down around the office now that all freshman decisions are made. We’re still taking care of reviewing transfer files, but our staff recently took a fast trip to Reno, NV to attend a professional conference.

Summer in the City
It’s officially summer in Southern California! Campus is really a bit quieter, the conditions are getting warmer, & most importantly, the pace in our office has slowed down. We’re also advantage that is taking of downtime to explore l . a . and all which our city has to supply our students.
Like in past summers, we’re utilizing the summer time Restaurant Series, prepared by some of our own peers, to explore the cuisine that is local. Simply month that is last we ventured to 23rd St. Café in USC’s garden. This unique restaurant offers American, Indian, and Mexican food, also some fusion dishes. The Chicken Tikka Masala quesadilla was quite popular in our group! For the food that is second, our restaurant series took us to Umamicatessen. According to the website, this location is ‘inspired by worldwide street bazaars and also the classic United states delicatessen’ and will be offering 5 different kitchens serving up diverse types of food within a hall that is dining inside the Orpheum Theatre. Besides eating our way through some of LA’s notable restaurants, we are going to spend time during July and August going to cultural events and checking away historic spots around the town. Some tasks we’ll experience include a tour that is guided of Disney Concert Hall and Music Center, enjoying the Downtown LA Art Walk, and hopping on the newly opened Expo line to just take the train to the Culver City Farmers Market.
